Qualification
B Sc / HND in any Management Science, Economics, Geography, Engineering, Pure or Applied Science or Business related discipline.
M.Sc., in Business Administration. Professional Accounting qualification (ACA / ACCA / ACMA) would be an advantage. Professional qualifications in HR and Administration would be an advantage. Professional qualifications in Project Management would be an advantage.
Verifiable practical experience and proof of past achievement in these areas of expertise is especially desirable.
Summary
Reporting to the Managing Partner, the incumbent will be required to grow as a Profit Centre Controller the Recruitment and Training business of the firm by sourcing business, executing same as well as by providing relevant internal Performance and Human Resource Management support to the business.
He /She will implement policies of management and work to achieve performance improvement in own unit and throughout the organization in line with strategic plans. Direct with entrepreneurial zeal and a venture capital mindset the business planning of the training and recruitment business of the firm, including its annual, monthly and weekly cash and profit budgets, with a view to maximizing cash profits.
The Person
Must be personable, well spoken and confident.
Must be in excellent health.
Must be, energetic assertive and proactive.
Must have had Profit Centre responsibility with an ability to read and understand financial statements.
5 Years work experience, three of which should be from a consulting firm. Experience to include three years in sales and marketing with experience in writing technical bids/proposals and expressions of interest and a minimum of two years experience in training design and delivery as well as as handling recruitment assignments from cradle to grave.
Must be conversant with and have used the Balanced score card as well as Zero based budgeting techniques and tools.
Possession of a database of existing training and recruitment service consumers and high level contacts with them is an added advantage.
The person must be conversant with at least one general ledger accounting package. The person must have proven integrity.
Must be energetic and positively inclined to meet deadlines and maintain self discipline. Skills & Attributes Entrepreneurial skills and ability, Leadership/Managerial potential. Advanced Sales and Marketing skills, Technical sales skills, High visionary and strategic thinking/planning skills, Computer literacy, Analytical, Numerate, Excellent communication skills (written and oral), Training/coaching skills. In-depth knowledge of marketing in the consulting industry. Negotiation skills, financial management and financial analysis skills.
Remuneration
Remuneration negotiable based on experience and proven past performance. Includes very attractive incentives (after confirmation) based on satisfactory three months probation. Incentives include performance based commissions and profit share. Confirmation is subject to successful completion of three months probation and satisfactory appraisal results. The position provides opportunities for training both locally and abroad for results driven and results producing individuals.
