Job Description
Our client provides a broad spectrum of civil and structural engineering consulting services which include the design and construction of roads, bridges and civil works on oil drilling locations.
The company is a multi-disciplinary engineering contractor with a number of Federal ministries and agencies, state governments and heavy civil engineering projects throughout the country.
As a result of expansion in the activities of this company there is now have an opening for career minded Civil Engineers, to join our existing projects project team.
CIVIL/STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING
Job Description and Duties
Performing engineering duties in planning, designing of infrastructural facilities, such as roads, bridges, harbours, channels, etc.
Other Typical job functions and activities include:
· Responsible for designing, constructing, maintaining structures that are safe and up to code
· Programming, Monitoring and Reporting of works
· Works progress reporting
· Construction resource planning and ordering
· Executing of works comprising mainly of earthworks, concreting and asphalting sometimes in wet swamp
· Materials quantity control and variance check.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
· HND or BSc, MSc in civil engineering with practical experience in acivil engineering designs and constructions with Minimum of 4 years post NYSC experience.
· Working knowledge of surveying will be added advantage.
· Ability to read, understand and interpret, engineering drawings, architectural drafting and design and develop finer details accordance with the set guidelines.
· Must be familiar with AutoCAD, knowledge of other civil engineering software would be an added advantage.
· Professional qualification is an added advantage
· Proficiency in any Civil/Structural Engineering design software is an added advantage
· Proficient in the use of Microsoft Packages, Internet etc.
