Job Description
Qualifications- HND/BSc in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Architecture or Quantity Surveying
- Membership of relevant professional bodies will be added advantage
- Minimum of 10 years work experience with no less than 5 years as Assistant Director of Physical Planning in a tertiary institution
- High level of computer literacy
- Not less than 45 years
Key Responsibilities
- Total management of the physical planning functions of a rapidly growing University
- Supervision/overseeing the activities of a team of young, creative construction industry workers
- Basic budgetary responsibility for the Unit
- Conceptualizing and implementing the University's mission/vision for quality, profitability, efficiency and timeliness in all projects
Other competencies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills
- Working knowledge of construction industry standards and best practices
- Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
- Demonstrates the ability to manage complex projects
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
